Jerome L. ("Jerry") Amante
is a very experienced trial and transactional lawyer admitted to all State and Federal
Courts in California and the United States Court of Appeal
for the Ninth Circuit. He specializes in the representation of clients who require assistance in the presentation
of complex lawsuits at trial, the structuring of complex business
deals, strategic planning for business enterprises, and representation before governmental agencies and/ or regulatory bodies. He is frequently called
upon to provide strategic planning, business, and trial consultation
to clients and/or other counsel in complicated matters. Mr.

expertise in Business, Real Estate, Construction, Employment,
Homeowner Association, Banking, Mortgage Brokerage, Corporate,

Amante's extensive trial experience spans 24 years of courtroom
work and includes numerous multi-million dollar bench and
jury trials in both State and Federal Courts. His business
expertise includes 7 years of management for a National Commercial
Bank and 8 years as a business entrepreneur in a number of
enterprises prior to beginning his work as a lawyer.
He has served as in-house general counsel to a National Mortgage
Broker as well as outside general counsel to Architects, Engineers,
Real Estate Developers, Commercial and Residential Real Estate
Brokers, Accountants, Contractors, Construction Companies,
Computer Hardware and Software Manufacturers and Distributors,
and Telecommunication Companies. His clients have included
National and Regional leaders in their industries who are
often on the leading edge of technological development.
Mr. Amante is active as a lawyer, businessman and elected public official.
He is the Mayor of the City of Tustin. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Transportation Authority, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee and also serves on the Regional Planning and Highways Committee, the Transportation 2020 Committee, the State Route 91 Advisory Committee, and the South Orange County MIS Committee. Jerry Amante is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Foothill / Eastern
Transportation Corridor Authority. There he serves as Vice Chair of the Board, as a member of the Finance and Operations Committee, as a member of the Ad Hoc Legislative Committee, and the Joint Ad Hoc Financial Options Committee. Mayor Amante also serves as a Member of the Newport Bay Watershed Executive Committee, a Member of the County of Orange's Growth Management Area Committee, a Member of the State of California League of Cities Revenue and Taxation Policy Committee, and as Second Vice President of the Board of the Orange Coutnty Division of the League of Cities. Mr. Amante also serves as an alternate member of the Santa Ana River Flood Protection Agency, the Santa Ana / Tustin Joint Powers Board and the Riverside / Orange County Authority. Prior to his election to City Council in November of 2004, he served as a Member and Chairman of the Tustin Planning Commission.
He is an active member of the community in a variety of capacities. He has been active as a member and Pillar Sponsor of the Tustin Chamber of Commerce where he has served on its Government Affairs Council, its Business and Economic Development Council and has served on a number of committees, including the Board Nomination Committee, the Business of the Year Committee, the Installation Dinner Commitee, The Strategic Planning Committee and the like. Mr. Amante is a Past President of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest, frequently honored and most
respected Chambers in the United States. He previously served
as a member of the Past Presidents Council, and has served on its Governmental Affairs Council, its Legislative Policy Committee, and its Strategic Planning
Committee, among a number of others. He is a former member of the
Board of Trustees and served as counsel to the Irvine Chamber
Educational Political Action Committee (ICEPAC). He formerly served
on the Board of Directors of the Irvine Exchange Club, he
is Past President of the Board of Trustees for the Irvine
Public Schools Foundation and previously served as a member of the Group
39 Advisory Council to the Irvine Police Department.
Mr. Amante is also a proud graduate of theTustin Citizens Police Academy. He is a member of, has volunteered for, contributed to and/or supported many civic and community organizations, including, the Tustin Street Fair and Chili Cook Off Committee, the Tustin Boys and Girls Club, the Tustin American Legion, the Tustin Senior Center, the Tustin Public Library, the Tustin Public Schools Foundation, the Tustin Historical Society, the Tustin Millennium Exchange Club, the Orange County Rescue Mission, the Orange County Lincoln Club, the Orange County Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and he is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Family Violence Project. He has served as an officer and director
of several other civic, service and non-profit organizations
and has spoken before scores of groups and organizations on
a wide range of topics over the years. Jerry Amante is an
