Amante Named Mayor of Tustin City Council and Elected to Regional Posts of Leadership

Jerry Amante, who was elected on November 2, 2004 to a four year term on the Tustin City Council was recently named Mayor. He was also recently elected to the Orange County Transportation Authority ( OCTA ), where he serves as Vice Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee and on the Regional Planning and Highways Committee, the Transportation 2020 Committee, the State Route 91 Advisory Committee and the South Orange County Major Improvement Study Committee. Mayor Amante had been previously appointed to the Foothill / Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency's ( F/ETCA ) Board of Directors. The F/ETCA manages the 241,261 & 133 Toll Roads which links the Riverside Freeway ( SR-91 ) near the Orange / Riverside County border to the Santa Ana Freeway ( I-5 ) in Irvine and to the communities in South Orange County. There, he currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and on the Ad Hoc Legislative Committee, and the Joint Ad Hoc Financial Options Committee.    " One of the most important aspects of government is providing effective infrastructure to its citizens.
